Sweaty Betty's Fitflops

When I came across the website, http://www.sweatybetty.com/fitflops, and one sentence particularly caught my attention.

It said that I could become slim even without going to the gym. Well, this was something which I had been looking out for quite some time. It was because to my ever-increasing body weight and my inability to get myself to the gym due to time constraints.

I was looking for a slimming solution without having to go for the medication or surgeries. The SweatyBetty's website is pretty cool and the navigation is pretty much simple. The products which I was interested in were the FitFlops which they claimed would help me slim down just by wearing them and walking.

I liked the simple format in which they display their available stocks. The available sizes and the colors are neatly arranged in a table format which makes it easy for anyone to understand and purchase the right size and color.

The FitFlops of SweatyBetty's are just too fabulous and are built with the advanced micro wobbleboard™ technology which gives workouts to your leg and thigh muscles. I was very impressed with this technology which was practically new for me. However, they are very popular with all the women in England.

The FitFlops are available in four excellent types or models and I selected the Walkstar II for myself.

Since this website was new for me, I was quite reluctant to give out my credit card details. Fortunately, this amazing website has the option for the purchases with the PayPal account as well.

I wouldn't think of making any kind of purchase on the websites which does not provide security to the buyers. What made me feel safe was the SSL protection on this website. In addition to that, I was impressed with their privacy policies. They assured that they would not share the customer information with the third parties.

The product did reach me and time and I would say that they're pretty much effective like the company claimed. My body is looks a lot better after I started using these miraculous FitFlops.

These are excellent products and they are also available in some good stores if you are willing to purchase them after trying them on. You can check out the website for that information.

Jill Stuart Mix Blush Compact in 01 Baby Blush

Since Jill Stuart"s Mix Blush Compact was launched in fall 2007, it has become one of the brand"s most popular products. Currently, there are six shades available. (01, 02, 03, and 04 were out in fall 2007, 06 was released in spring 2008, and 07 and 08 were recently available for spring 2009. 05 was a limited-edition item in fall 2007.) Today I am sharing my thoughts on 01 Baby Blush.

Like all the other variations, the blusher comes in a very pretty and princessy compact. A retractable brush is attached to the compact. (It can be detached.)

All Mix Blush Compacts feature four shades that can be used separately or together. I decided to go for 01, which contained an off-white pink, two cool pinks, and one warm pink with a hint of coral.

The powder is very fine and silky. The lightest shade has a pearly finish and some fine shimmery particles, while the other three have a subtly luminous finish. Used together, they give a glowy finish to the cheeks. I personally think it is a little too glowy for me, so I usually skip the lightest shade. The lasting power is fairly good, and the fresh cool-pink shade doesn"t turn dull overtime.

I am sure many of you have read other reviews of Mix Blush Compacts, and opinions seem to vary with regard to the quality of the brush and the pigmentation level of the colors. I think the quality of the brush is decent. The hair is nicely dense and the bristle-heads are soft to the touch, but the hair is slightly stiff. The brush is on the small side but it can be very useful in picking up individual colors from the compact.

In terms of the color intensity, I would say the blusher is moderately pigmented. You will be likely to think it is quite sheer if you are used to some of the highly pigmented blushers from MAC and Bobbi Brown. But Japanese blushers, overall, tend to be subtle and are more about recreating the natural flush, and Mix Blush Compact is actually more pigmented than items like Lavshuca"s Cheek Color in 01 and SUQQU"s Blend Cheeks in 05. (Personally, I prefer lightly-to-moderately blushers, and I actually have to be slightly light-handed with it.)

Overall, Mix Blush Compact is a very good item, as it combines beautiful packaging and a solid performance of the colors. Last year, I came across the news that Jill Stuart Beauty would be launched in the US this year. If you are interested in trying out the line, I think Mix Blusher Compact is a good item to go for. Borghese Fango Active Mud for Face & Body

Tester: Hispanic (Venezuelan) with normal to dry skin on body.

"For my weekly body care treat, there is nothing better than this mud mask.

It"s a nice medium weight soft mud mask that glides on easily and while it is a "mud" it didn"t feel "slimy" or heavy on the skin. It also dried fairly quickly so I could do my entire body in under 15 min. The mask did tingle when applied, but the tingling sensation went away quickly and was not uncomfortable. I also loved the scent, which is a fresh, marine-type of fragrance that is luxurious and clean at the same time. After showering it off, it left my skin super soft and glowing, and I felt completely refreshed.

What I also loved about the mud is that for the parts of my upper body that occasionally suffer from breakouts like my chest and upper arms, they were significantly reduced with consistant use of the mask. I simply can not live without this product now. This is at home spa pampering at it"s best!" S.M.

Hosting a Pregnant Woman

One of the questions I get asked a lot is what to do when a pregnant person comes over.  Don’t try to understand why I have so many people ask me this, I move in strange circles! I thought I’d create a post on a few items to keep on hand, hopefully it’s useful.  If you don’t normally host pregnant people, I suspect you’ll get your chance, everyone is getting pregnant!

First thing is to have a nice assortment of beverages on hand.  Tea would be on the top of the list, it’s easy to make and lasts forever so there’s no excuse not to have a few good teas around.   In the case of pregnant people check out some of the teas from FairHaven Health.

Tea-For-Two not only wins cutest tea name, it also comes in first place for taste with a touch of lemon.  Caffeine free, some of the claims are:

• tones and strengthens the womb for pregnancy and childbirth
• helps to relieve morning sickness and discomfort

Nursing Time Tea also tastes great, I’m not currently nursing but have just about 6 years of experience and I can tell you that the better quality beverages and food will give her a great start to establishing milk supply.

Make sure she knows all those things before serving…  And on the flipside, have plenty of cold items on hand… ice made from springwater and sugar free popsicles… serving popsicles mid-winter to an adult is totally okay on these occasions.  Many pregnant women want something very cold (and non-caloric) after tea or eating in general.

Be sure to have lots of smallish pillows so she can have her back, arms or whatever else she wants propped up in position.  Throws or small blankets always come in handy, it was such a welcome site when I was pregnant.  I loved throws because they covered up my belly and made me feel all snuggly and warm.  Easy way to offer is to keep the room a little cool, thereby giving you an excuse to offer without being conspicuous.

If you’re looking for a parting gift for a new mom I can’t say enough good things about Nature’s Baby Organics.  The line is now being sold at Target and online so it’s super easy to find.  The scents, the quality or the products and the efficacy is nothing to mess with.  The new mom in your life will be totally into this line for herself and her new baby.
